Soloist biographies
Martin Feinstein played jazz piano from a young age, finally learned to read music at the age of 15 and, inspired by the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, took up the flute. Three years later he began flute and recorder studies at the Royal College of Music and completed his training in Hamburg with the great German flautist Karlheinz Zoeller, funded by a German Government Scholarship. After working in Hamburg and Frankfurt with the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra and Ensemble Modern, he returned to London to form the Feinstein Ensemble.
